Baseball Recap: Manchester Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Manchester won against Smithville on Monday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Panthers beat the Mogadore Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-1. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Manchester has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.9 runs over those games. As for Mogadore, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coming up, Manchester will host Central Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mogadore, they will venture away from home to face off against Field at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
