Volleyball Recap: Huron Beats Vermilion for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Huron had won three straight games and Adelyn Van Sickle did her part to make it four on Thursday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Vermilion Sailors with a sharp 3-0 win with plenty of help from Van Sickle, who had 19 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Huron was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-12, 25-15.

Huron's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Vermilion, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 9-13 record.

Looking ahead, Huron will welcome Bishop Hartley at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Vermilion, after both having extra time off, they and Perkins will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
