Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Pequot Lakes

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pequot Lakes had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They beat Marshall/Lakeview Christian Academy by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 73-28. The Patriots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 21 points or more this season.

The victory (which was Pequot Lakes' fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 39.5 points. As for Marshall/Lakeview Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Pequot Lakes will square off against Staples-Motley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Staples-Motley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Marshall/Lakeview Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
