Football Recap: Malden Comes Up Short

Malden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Charleston Bluejays and fell 48-14. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Green Wave of the 54-20 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Malden's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Charleston, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Malden will be playing at home against Doniphan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Charleston, they will take on Ballard Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bluejays will be up against the Bombers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
