Baseball Recap: Desert Mirage Drops Season-High Score on Desert Hot Springs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Desert Mirage). They walked away with an 11-8 win over the Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles on Monday. This was a revenge game for the RAMS: when they faced off against the Golden Eagles last Friday, they had to take a 11-1 defeat.

Desert Mirage saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Cisneros-Morales, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Cisneros-Morales a new career-high in RBI (three). Another was Edilverto Biarco, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Desert Mirage was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory got Desert Mirage back to even at 5-5. As for Desert Hot Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Desert Mirage wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Coachella Valley on the 25th. As for Desert Hot Springs, they will be playing at home against Desert Mirage at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
