Basketball Recap: Smyrna Comes Up Short

The Smyrna Bulldogs came up short against the Nolensville Knights on Monday and fell 67-57. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Smyrna lost, don't look at Elliyon Kinzer. Despite the final result, he shot 41% from the field on his way to 37 points in addition to six boards and four steals. The game was Kinzer's fourth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Matthews, who posted 14 points and six rebounds.

Smyrna now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Nolensville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Smyrna and Ravenwood will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. As for Nolensville, they will head out to take on Page at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
