Jurupa Valley took a 19-run loss the last time they faced off against Patriot, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Jaguars narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Warriors 2-1. This was payback for the Jaguars, who suffered a 20-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Samantha Amancio spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

The victory got Jurupa Valley back to even at 5-5. As for Patriot, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-6 record.
