Basketball Game Preview: Newport - Bellevue Knights vs. Lincoln Lynx

The Newport - Bellevue Knights will head out to square off against the Lincoln Lynx at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Newport - Bellevue is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Redmond on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Newport - Bellevue was beaten by Redmond 79-40. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, Lincoln posted their closest win since January 7th on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Ingraham, sneaking past 53-51.

The victory got Lincoln back to even at 10-10. As for Newport - Bellevue, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-19 record this season.

Newport - Bellevue came up short against Lincoln in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 65-55. Can Newport - Bellevue avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
