Softball Recap: Branham Bruins vs. Leigh Longhorns
Branham's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Leigh Longhorns as Branham made off with a 9-1 victory. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Jacque Connolly - Hojas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on CC Bonnard, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
