Basketball Recap: Shallowater Piles Up the Points Against Snyder

Shallowater was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Snyder on Saturday. The Shallowater Mustangs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Snyder Tigers 66-31. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Snyder's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Krystofer Salazar, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Jacob James, who had six points.

Shallowater now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Snyder, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shallowater will host Dimmitt at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Snyder, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
