Softball Recap: Manheim Central Wins Going Away Against Dover

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Red Land, Manheim Central was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Dover Eagles with a sharp 17-2 victory. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Barons this season.

Riley Hostetter made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). Hostetter was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she hit this season.

In other batting news, Manheim Central got a massive performance out of Paige Garner, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Garner also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Rilee Bender, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

The win got Manheim Central back to even at 3-3. As for Dover, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
