Volleyball Recap: Lutheran Knights vs. Northland Christian

After flying high against Wellington-Napoleon on Thursday, Lutheran came back down to earth. The Knights came up short against Northland Christian on Monday, falling 3-0. The Knights haven't had much luck with Northland Christian recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-10, 25-19.

Shine Gerard paced Lutheran's offense, picking up seven kills. Gerard got some help from Hailey Cochran and her 11 assists.

Dray Bourn was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had nine digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16-1. As for Northland Christian, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-5-3.

Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northland Christian, they will welcome Rock Port at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
