Baseball Recap: Central Triumphs

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Central walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Philadelphia Performing Arts Knight a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering the Lancers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Central's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Philadelphia Performing Arts, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-9.

Coming up, Central will challenge La Salle College at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Explorers will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight. Philadelphia Performing Arts does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
