Football Recap: Central Plains Oilers vs. Hoxie Indians
Central Plains and Hoxie squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Central Plains had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 46-0 loss at the hands of the Hoxie Indians. The match marked the first time this season in which the Oilers were not able to get on the board.
Duncan Bell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hoxie, throwing for 235 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes. Samuel Watkins did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 56 receiving yards.
With the defeat, Central Plains broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-3. As for Hoxie, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
As of now, neither Central Plains nor Hoxie have any future games scheduled.
