Basketball Recap: South Florence Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Hartsville came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against South Florence, but Harmony Bostick wouldn't allow it. The South Florence Bruins put the hurt on the Hartsville Red Foxes with a sharp 54-28 victory on Saturday thanks in part to Bostick, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.3 boards per game.

London Brown was another key player, putting up seven points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in rebounds (four).

Hartsville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brooke Mitchell, who posted four points. Mitchell is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaz Reyes, who earned nine points.

South Florence's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7. As for Hartsville, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

South Florence will venture away from home to challenge Darlington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hartsville, they will welcome Wilson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
