Volleyball Recap: Pike Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Simone Suggs and Justice King

Pike lost against Greenfield-Central back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Devils fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 2-1. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Justice King and Simone Suggs certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. King had 18 digs and one assist, while Suggs had nine digs and one assist.

Pike's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Greenfield-Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Pike didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against South Decatur on the 27th. As for Greenfield-Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Whiteland on the 27th.
