Football Recap: Marshalltown Takes a Loss

Marshalltown lost against Waukee back in September of 2015 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bobcats had to suffer through a 55-13 loss at the hands of the Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Warriors are ranked 35th).

Marshalltown has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Waukee, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Marshalltown will welcome Dallas Center-Grimes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Waukee, they will face off against Dowling Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Maroons will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
