Softball Recap: Hart County Bulldogs vs. Rabun County Wildcats
After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Hart County brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They put the hurt on the Rabun County Wildcats with a sharp 12-4 win on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in August.
Chesnee Strickland spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on ten hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Peyton McCollum was incredible, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emory McCollum, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
