Recap: Stuart Broncos vs. Osmond/Randolph Hawks

The Stuart Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season. They blew past Osmond/Randolph 53-31. The victory was familiar territory for Stuart who now have three in a row.

Stuart's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavynn Mustin, who scored 14 points along with six steals. The contest was Mustin's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kayde Ramm, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds.

Osmond/Randolph's loss on Saturday came despite strong showings from Hunter Buchanan and Brayden Shearer. Buchanan scored nine points, while Shearer scored five points.

Stuart pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Osmond/Randolph, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Stuart will head out on the road to face off against Boyd County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Boyd County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday. Osmond/Randolph and Cedar Catholic will face off at 7:45 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cedar Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Osmond/Randolph in Nebraska (Cedar Catholic is ranked 49th, while Osmond/Randolph is ranked 207th).
