Football Recap: Windsor Starts Season with Victory Against Green Mountain + How To Watch

Windsor had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Green Mountain Rams 55-0. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wizards had established a 48-point advantage.

Windsor's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adrian Czyszczon led the charge by rushing for 86 yards and one touchdown, while also picking up 35 receiving yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Junior Trotter, who threw for 115 yards and a pair of TDs on only six passes.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Windsor, adding 19 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Devonte Fontana, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from Mason Moore.

Windsor didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Andrew Miller, Isaiah Cronk, and Broady Perea picked up one apiece. Miller got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Looking ahead, Windsor will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Longmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Green Mountain, they will face off against Corona del Mar at 8:00 p.m. on the 6th.
