Softball Recap: Fremont Takes a Loss

Fremont's last matchup with King/Drew could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Thursday. The Pathfinders lost 21-6 to the Golden Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pathfinders of the 5-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

The defeat snapped Fremont's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record. As for King/Drew, they moved to 4-10 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coming up, Fremont is taking a road trip to square off against Harbor Teacher at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. As for King/Drew, they will be taking part in a tournament against Village Christian at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Crusaders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.14 runs per game on average), something the Golden Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
