Volleyball Recap: Monticello's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Monticello had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the St. Francis Fighting Saints with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Magic also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Monticello took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-13.

Their offense was headlined by Addison Ruda and Alayna Opatz, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Brooklyn Sigler and her 17 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Monticello's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for St. Francis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Monticello will head out on the road to challenge Spring Lake Park at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Francis, they will welcome Blaine at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
