Recap: Mountain Lakes Lakers vs. Parsippany Redhawks
There's no place like home for the Mountain Lakes Lakers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They snuck past Parsippany with a 53-49 win on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mountain Lakes also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Parsippany lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being David Niedermaier, who scored 14 points along with four steals. Niedermaier is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Thomas Niedermaier, who scored 16 points.
Parsippany struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Mountain Lakes' win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Parsippany, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Mountain Lakes will head out on the road to face off against Dayton at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Parsippany, they will be playing at home against Whippany Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Whippany Park is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
