While Burns's win against Bessemer City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over the Yellow Jackets on Tuesday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Laney Williams, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Karlye Clay was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Burns now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Bessemer City, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Bessemer City has already played their next contest, a 19-2 victory against Ashbrook on the 11th. Hopefully Burns paid attention to the Yellow Jackets' matchup: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Yellow Jackets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
