Harlan and Cedar Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Harlan had to settle for second. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Harlan's loss dropped their record down to 21-5. As for Cedar Ridge, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-4.

Coming up, Cedar Ridge will challenge Pharr-San Juan-Alamo on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Raiders 1.9, the Bears 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Harlan will be paying especially close attention to Cedar Ridge's contest: after Cedar Ridge faces off against Bowie, they'll take on Harlan again on Saturday.
