Basketball Recap: Alak Takes a Loss

Alak had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Hooper Bay Warriors 69-24.

Alak's loss came despite strong showings from Paul Okpeaha and Kaden Ahmaogak. Okpeaha posted 11 points, while Ahmaogak put up nine points.

Alak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 54-40 loss against Chaputnguak on the 9th. Hooper Bay has also already played their next contest, a 63-61 victory against Chevak on the 9th.
