Football Recap: Carlisle Takes a Loss

After flying high against Des Moines North last Friday, Carlisle came back down to earth. The Wildcats were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 14-13 to the Gilbert Tigers. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Carlisle's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Gilbert, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Carlisle will welcome Bondurant-Farrar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Bluejays' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Gilbert, they will challenge Ballard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
