Baseball Recap: Coastal Christian Comes Up Short

Coastal Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-2 to the Wayne Christian Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Centurions of the 4-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Coastal Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Henry Holleman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Hudson Weare also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Coastal Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Wayne Christian, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-5.

While Coastal Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
