Softball Recap: Oxford Prep Wins Going Away Against Warren County

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Roxboro Community, Oxford Prep was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Warren County Eagles. The Griffins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Mileena Webb, who went 3-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Erin McDuffie was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

With the win, Oxford Prep broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-5. As for Warren County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Oxford Prep beat the Eagles by a score of 4-0 later that day.
