Waterford's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Waterford who was credited with the victory. Waterford got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the American Leadership Academy Eagles's two. This was payback for Waterford, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Simeon Paul, which was the first he's scored this season.

The win snapped Waterford's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record. As for American Leadership Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waterford will head out to face off against Wasatch Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for American Leadership Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Providence Hall at 3:30 p.m. on April 8. American Leadership Academy will be up against Providence Hall's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.71 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
