Softball Recap: Hilliard Sets Scoring Season-High Against First Coast

Hilliard scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 12-8 to the First Coast Buccaneers. The Red Flashes just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Rileigh King made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. Those hits were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kierstin Northern, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Hilliard now has a losing record of 3-4. As for First Coast, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilliard will take on Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 7:30 p.m. on March 11th. As for First Coast, they will face off against Beachside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
