Baseball Recap: Grantsville Takes a Loss

Grantsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ridgeline Riverhawks.

Jordan Fawson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Grantsville: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-9 otherwise.

Grantsville's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Ridgeline, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grantsville will take on Union at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ridgeline, they will square off against Syracuse at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
