Softball Recap: Oxford Takes a Loss

Oxford lost against St. Paul Catholic back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolverines took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oxford's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for St. Paul Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Oxford is set to take on their familiar foe Holy Cross at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wolverines 3.9, the Crusaders 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, St. Paul Catholic will square off against rival Torrington at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
