Volleyball Recap: Ava Price and Katelyn Duffman Secure Win for Cory-Rawson

While Cory-Rawson's win against Temple Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Fighting Hornets had just enough and edged out the Pioneers 3-2. The Fighting Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pioneers on Thursday, too.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Cory-Rawson who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 23-25, 25-20, 24-26, 15-11.

Cory-Rawson was led to victory by Katelyn Duffman and Ava Price. Duffman had eight digs and eight aces, while Price had nine kills, seven digs, and four aces. What's more, Duffman posted four kills, the most she's had since back in August of 2024.

Cory-Rawson's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Temple Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Cory-Rawson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Arlington on the 23rd. As for Temple Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Riverdale on the 25th.
