Baseball Recap: Dorsey Takes a Loss

Dorsey extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 0-9 in the process. They came up short against the Rolling Hills Prep Huskies, falling 35-3. The Dons lost against the Huskies in their previous head to head back in March of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 9-2 score last time.

As for Rolling Hills Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4-1 record this season. The result was nothing new for Rolling Hills Prep, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.

For Rolling Hills Prep's part, Max Sarner was a standout: he got on base in all six of his plate appearances with one home run, six runs, and seven RBI. What's more, Sarner posted four hits, the most he's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Hernandez, who got on base in all six of his plate appearances with one home run, six runs, and five RBI.

Coming up, Dorsey will square off against San Gabriel at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rolling Hills Prep, they will face off against New Roads at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
