Softball Recap: Nokomis Redskins vs. Sangamon Valley/Tri-City Storm
Nokomis was the 4-0 winner over Sangamon Valley/Tri-City when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Nokomis Redskins lost 10-3 to the Sangamon Valley/Tri-City Storm on Saturday. Nokomis has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Nokomis saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reaghan Jonas, who went 1-for-2 with a home run.
Nokomis' loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Sangamon Valley/Tri-City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.
Nokomis will square off against Warrensburg-Latham at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Nokomis is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season. Sangamon Valley/Tri-City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
