Basketball Recap: Sam Houston Comes Up Short

Sam Houston suffered their biggest defeat since December 6, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Natchitoches Central Chiefs, falling 75-53. The Broncos were probably out for revenge after losing 72-41 to them when the teams met back in February of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Sam Houston and nudges their season record down to 14-11. As for Natchitoches Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Sam Houston has already played their next matchup, a 79-70 loss against Independence on the 4th. As for Natchitoches Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 76-27 win against Anacoco on the 7th.
