Recap: West Henderson Falcons vs. Tuscola Mountaineers
The West Henderson Falcons put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 42-14 win over Tuscola on the road. Given West Henderson's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Tuscola is ranked 182nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Henderson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Dimsdale, who rushed for 201 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Dimsdale is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last ten games he's played. Truitt Manuel was another key contributor, picking up 196 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
West Henderson's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Leading the way was Eben Mann and his two sacks.
West Henderson's victory was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 10-0. As for Tuscola, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
West Henderson will look to defend their home field on Friday against Erwin at 7:00 p.m. Erwin is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Tuscola, they will head out on the road to face off against Hibriten at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
