The University Trojans will head out on the road to take on the West Covina Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. University is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, University was able to grind out a solid victory over Pacifica Christian, taking the game 5-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Andrew Shean looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, University saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Wu, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was Wu's first of the season. Another was Luke Emrich, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, West Covina came up short against Capistrano Valley on Monday, falling 9-3. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

University's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for West Covina, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. University has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9 hits per game. However, it's not like West Covina struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
