Baseball Recap: Lincoln County Comes Up Short

Lincoln County lost against Russell County back in April of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Patriots came up short against the Lakers, falling 13-3.

Sawyer Robbins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Tucker Foster also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Lincoln County has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Russell County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln County will venture away from home to square off against Franklin-Simpson at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Russell County, they will head out to challenge Boyle County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
