Basketball Game Preview: Prince of Peace Eagles vs. Parish Episcopal Panthers

Prince of Peace is 0-5 against Parish Episcopal since December of 2018 but things could change on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Prince of Peace Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Parish Episcopal Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Parish Episcopal took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Prince of Peace, who comes in off a win.

Prince of Peace's tournament run continued when they took on Bruceville-Eddy on Thursday. Prince of Peace escaped with a win against Bruceville-Eddy by the margin of a single free throw, 42-41.

Meanwhile, Parish Episcopal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 64-27 loss at the hands of Ursuline Academy. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1193rd, while the Bears are ranked 521st).

Parish Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Prince of Peace, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Prince of Peace was dealt a bruising 67-22 loss at the hands of Parish Episcopal in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Prince of Peace avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
