Basketball Game Preview: Van-Far Indians vs. Canton Tigers

Van-Far is 0-4 against Canton since January of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Van-Far Indians will take on the Canton Tigers in a tournament on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Van-Far is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They took a blow against Palmyra, falling 68-29. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while the Panthers are ranked 100th).

The losing side was boosted by Chloe Zumwalt, who went 7 of 15 on her way to 15 points and five boards. Trinity Skwirtz was another key player, putting up two points.

Meanwhile, Canton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Shelby.

Canton now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Van-Far, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Van-Far was taken down by Canton 57-25 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Van-Far avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
