The two teams will round out the year against one another at at 10:00 a.m. Pembroke Pines Charter took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on South Broward, who comes in off a win.
Last Wednesday, South Broward strolled past South Plantation with points to spare, taking the game 46-31.
South Broward relied on the efforts of Paris George, who went 7 for 10 on her way to 14 points in addition to five assists and four steals, and Ayonna Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 boards. George is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Moriah McCandies, who posted four points.
Meanwhile, Pembroke Pines Charter entered their contest against Northeast last Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Pembroke Pines Charter was outmatched by Northeast and fell 73-29. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 33rd).
South Broward will have to keep a close watch on Ava Rivera and Khaila Sprouse, a pair of players who had a big impact on Pembroke Pines Charter's prior game. Rivera had ten points, while Sprouse put up nine points.
South Broward is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.3 points per game. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-4.
