Softball Recap: Osawatomie Trojans vs. Baldwin Bulldogs
Osawatomie lost against Baldwin on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 13-6. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Gracie Fanning was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Fanning was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three RBI.
In other batting news, Jules Beery was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Bailey Madden also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Osawatomie's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Baldwin, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Coming up, Osawatomie will head out to face off against Santa Fe Trail at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Baldwin, they will take on Osage City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
