Basketball Game Preview: Pahokee Blue Devils vs. Moore Haven Terriers + Official Tickets

Pahokee is on a five-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Moore Haven is on a nine-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. Having just played yesterday, the Blue Devils will get right back to it and host the Terriers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give Pahokee their first taste of in-conference action this season.

On Wednesday, Pahokee ended up a good deal behind Leonard and lost 48-34.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Karlissia Young, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of A'Laijah Deila, who scored nine points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Moore Haven). They blew past Scheck Hillel Community School 64-22 on Tuesday. The Terriers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 31 points or more this season.

Pahokee better keep an eye on Sa'Nyree Myers. She was instrumental in Moore Haven's win, going 6-for-10 from beyond the arc on her way to 42 points and six rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Myers has scored at least a third of the Terriers' points. Charisma Micco was another key player, putting up two points along with seven steals and six boards.

Pahokee now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Moore Haven, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
