While Floyd Central's victory against Shelby Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Jaguars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Wildcats on Tuesday. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Floyd Central got a massive performance out of Cadyn Roberson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles Roberson has posted since back in May of 2025. Reagan Laferty was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Floyd Central's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Shelby Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Floyd Central will venture away from home to square off against Hazard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shelby Valley, they will head out to take on Pike County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
