New Madrid County Central had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Advance Hornets with a sharp 13-3 win. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 10-0 victory the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Aubrey Aycock was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Destiny Hughes, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Laura Kate Johnson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

New Madrid County Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .406 or higher in five consecutive matches.
