They took a blow against the Vel Phillips Memorial Spartans, falling 74-44. The Purgolders have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Madison East's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Vel Phillips Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 18-6 record this season.
