Central had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Palo Verde Valley Yellow Jackets on Thursday. Central got a great performance from Donnovan Diaz as he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. The Spartans are 2-1 when Diaz allows two or fewer earned runs, but 8-15 otherwise.
