Mascoma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Newfound Regional Bears. On the bright side, the three- run performance marked the Royals' highest-scoring game to date.
